Minority Health Initiative
In 1994, the Indiana Minority Health Coalition (IMHC) established a department of programs to provide customized technical assistance for our statewide coalition network. IMHC recognized through capacity development and TA fulfillment could strengthen affiliates to address health disparities within their communities.
Over time, our affiliate base expanded through the Minority Health Initiative (MHI). IMHC currently supports 19 MHI funded agencies who provide crucial programs and initiatives throughout the state of Indiana.
Through partnerships with our coalition network, IMHC continues its mission to improve health outcomes for minority populations.
Strengthening Communities Through Capacity Building
Since 1994, the Indiana Minority Health Coalition (IMHC) has led the way in providing customized technical assistance (TA) to our statewide coalition network. The creation of the Department of Programs was a strategic move to empower local affiliates and expand our collective ability to reduce health disparities among minority populations across Indiana.
